The second Global Conference on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (AFC) took place in Hanoi from September 3 to 7, 2012, gathering delegates from 150 countries along with 20 international organisations.
The second AFC conference was hosted by Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, in collaboration with the Netherlands’ Ministry for Economics, Agriculture and Innovation, the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the World Bank (WB).
The three-day meeting reviewed previous outcomes and discuss adjustments to the plans made at the first AFC, held in the Netherlands in 2010. It also set priorities and decide on appropriate actions to ensure that an environmental friendly agriculture sector becomes the driving force for green growth around the world.
