The General Department of Vietnam Customs recently dispatched an official document to its provincial/municipal subordinates to direct businesses to prepare necessary conditions for activate online data connection from petroleum depots with customs authorities according to the Government Decree 68/2016/ND-CP on conditions for trading in duty-free goods, warehouses and yards, places of customs procedures and inspection and supervision.
Accordingly, from July 1, 2017, provincial and municipal customs departments will coordinate with local businesses to directly connect import and export data of petroleum depots to customs offices. Petroleum companies shall grant access to import, export and stocking management software to customs authorities as well as address to log in surveillance camera data system.
