Tenants in Vinh Phuc IPs Recruit Many Workers

Many workers have been laid off due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, foreign-invested enterprises in Vinh Phuc province-based industrial parks still managed to stabilize production and ensure employment for local workers. To fulfil orders from customers in the last months of the year, they continue to recruit many workers.

In Ba Thien, Binh Xuyen, Khai Quang, Thang Long Vinh Phuc and other industrial parks, workers bustlingly come and go every working shift. Tenants also announce their recruitment information on bulletin boards. Unlike previous years, salaries are quite high, largely VND8-10 million a month.

SEKONEX VINA Co., Ltd., a wholly South Korea-invested company, which manufactures and trades lenses for smartphones, is seeking to employ 200 female workers at a monthly individual salary of VND8-12 million.

VINA UNION Co., Ltd, a wholly South Korea-invested manufacturer of electronic circuit boards and semiconductor components is planning to recruit 500 workers with a monthly salary of VND8-10 million.

VINA KOREA Co., Ltd., a 100% South Korea-owned maker of high-quality knitted garments for export in Khai Quang Industrial Park, is seeking to recruit 300 workers with a monthly income of VND7.5 - 9.5 million.

DKT VINA Co., Ltd, a South Korea-led maker of electronic components and soft printed circuit boards in Khai Quang Industrial Park, is looking to employ 500 workers with negotiated salary.

Most businesses are committed to ensuring employee benefits such as salary, bonus, social and health insurance, and a good working environment.

According to the Vinh Phuc Industrial Parks Authority, as of August 2020, industrial parks are home to 369 valid projects, including 63 DDI projects with a total registered investment value of VND14,977.15 billion (US$650 million) and 306 FDI projects with US$4.27 billion. Among them, 314 projects are operational, accounting for 85.1% of total projects, 21 projects are under construction, and 29 projects are dealing with initial investment procedures. Currently, tenants in industrial parks in Vinh Phuc are employing more than 90,000 workers and playing a substantial role in job creation and socioeconomic development.
