It also provides services for drivers and their assistants, as well as passenger and cargo taxis and hostel services. It also trades petrol and oil, spare parts and provides car maintenance services.

The Machinery Erection and Construction Company N0 5 is a member of the Central Construction Corporation. This is a dynamic and prestigious enterprise with its 2004 revenues reaching VND 40 billion. The company is perfecting its management apparatus, applying the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system, and helping its cadres and workers to join training courses to improve their skills.
With their production autonomy, member units of the company have become more active in seeking transactions. As a result, their production and business revenues have increased rapidly. The company’s biggest difficulty is bad debts. For example, so far, the company has received only 15 per cent of its contract payment from a kaolin plant in Quang Binh province, while it invested VND 6 billion in the work. Customers’ bad debts and a price hike in materials have produced negative impacts on the company’s production and business activities. As a result many projects cannot be implemented as planned.
The building and application of the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system has clarified tasks and powers of units in the company, reducing overlapping. The company is finalising necessary procedures and perfecting its management, ensuring jobs for 300 people.
Continuing its achievements, the company is striving to expand its production and business activities, including machinery erection, mechanics and construction, and aiming to seek more customers. Also, the company is focused on marketing news products and registering trademarks of mechanical products, and reducing production costs to improve its competitiveness, as well as investing in modern technology and equipment. In addition, the company is concentrating on generating stable jobs and incomes for its cadres and workers. On a basis of developing internal strength, the company is striving to complete its projects on Cosevco electric cables and wires and expansion of its production area.
