The 165.65-ha industrial zone cost over VND1,500 billion. The project was 5.5km from the Hanoi-Lao Cai Highway, 57km from Noi Bai International Airport, and 75km from downtown Hanoi City. Thus, the facility is favorably connected with other provinces in the northern key economic region and surrounding areas.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Pham Trung Kien, General Director of VPID, said: Song Lo II Industrial Zone is located in a prime trade location with a convenient traffic system that is easily connected with other provinces in the northern key economic region and surrounding areas. In addition, we have applied advanced technology to form a green ecosystem, meet the high standards of investors, and inspire investors and employees working here. Besides the green ecosystem, the synchronous and modern technical infrastructure system is an outstanding highlight of Song Lo II, which also has a modern wastewater treatment plant and a solar power system for energy saving in the most effective way.
Upon completion, Song Lo II Industrial Zone will become a bright spot in the economic picture of Song Lo district, Vinh Phuc province as well as the country and bring real and existing values to investors and companies, he emphasized.
On behalf of VPID’s Board of Directors, Vice Chairman Hoang Dinh Thang said, after thorough research and survey by leading technicians and construction experts, VPID decided to invest more than VND1,500 billion to build Song Lo II Industrial Zone. The construction proved the high determination and drastic action of Vinh Phuc province to speed up land compensation and site clearance and remove difficulties and obstacles in the investment process as well as the high support of the people of Dong Thinh and Yen Thach communes.
VPID is committed to building Song Lo II Industrial zone with stated quality, exemplar and modernity requirements and standards, integrating environmentally friendly green space and always strictly complying with laws on construction investment management, environment, security and order and fire prevention to turn Song Lo II into a key economic development engine, not only in Vinh Phuc province but also in the northern region as a whole.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Duy Thanh, Chairman of the Vinh Phuc Provincial People's Committee, said: “Song Lo II Industrial Zone is the first industrial zone in Song Lo district. To complete legal procedures for the project and commence its construction today, apart from the promptness, effort and action of investors and provincial and local authorities, there is also the consent and support of people in Dong Thinh and Yen Thach communes, especially those who gave up their land for the project to be implemented. On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, I acknowledge and praise the effort of the investor, provincial and local authorities and particularly the consensus and support of local people for the project to be started today.”
He requested the investor to focus maximum resources on the project to ensure its quality and progress and its infrastructural synchronicity to form a modern green industrial zone and provide enough space and full facilities for tenants. It should select capable and experienced contractors to implement the project; supervise construction contractors to ensure labor safety and environmental sanitation; and must not let the construction process affect the life and activities of people in the vicinity of the project.
With the capacity, responsibility and effort of the investor along with the companionship and support of provincial and local authorities as well as the consensus and support of local people, he believed that the project will soon be completed and put into operation to exert its effect on the locality, bring expected benefits to the investor, and contribute to the socioeconomic development of Song Lo district and Vinh Phuc province. He also asserted that the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People’s Council and the Provincial People’s Committee will always accompany and support the investor throughout the implementation process.
