The Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board recently held a conference to review emulations and commendations in the first six months of 2023 and preview activities and tasks in the last six months of 2023. Mr. Ha Dinh Nha, Director of the Board, chaired the meeting.
Mr. Ha Dinh Nha, Director of the Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board, presents the Emulation Flag of the Provincial People’s Committee to enterprises that achieved excellent results in production and business in 2022
During the first half of 2023, the board prioritized emulation and commendation, launching focused plans and activities. Its employees demonstrated their active, creative, united, and responsible approach by successfully completing all assigned tasks. Moreover, the Provincial Public Administration Service Center handled 100% of administrative procedures within its jurisdiction, with 99.3% of them being completed on time.
Besides, the board also paid special attention to investment promotion and attraction, infrastructure construction management, and implementation in industrial zones. The agency actively contacted and enticed big corporations and projects into local industrial zones, guided and took them to visit industrial zones, survey locations, and investment procedures to persuade them to locate their projects there.
Consequently, Vinh Phuc province-based industrial zones attracted investors to invest in 16 new projects and revise their investment fund for 19 existing projects in the first six months of 2023. The province saw eight more foreign direct investment (FDI) projects go into operation, bringing total operational projects to 399 (329 FDI projects and 70 DDI projects), accounting for 87% of total investment projects. Tenants in industrial zones employed 4,499 new workers, bringing their total workforce to 132,529 employees as of June 15, 2023, including 74,002 local workers, accounting for 55.8% of their staff.
The Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board has more than 412 members, active in various industries and fields. As the head of the block, right from the beginning of 2023, the board decided to divide 412 enterprises into five emulation clusters and launched emulation movements to all member enterprises. The board actively propagated them to build typical production and business models, encouraged them to actively improve techniques, apply scientific and technical advances to their operations to enhance work performance, invest in operation expansion, fulfill tax obligations and employee policies, and meet standards on security, order, and environment. The board monitored and praised companies with outstanding business achievements and significant contributions to society. It guided them to register for emulation and submitted the list of candidates for annual rewards. Companies in the block responded to practical emulation movements as emulation contents were close to their actual activities and deployed emulative spirit to all employees and units.
In the last six months of 2023, the Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board will focus on effectively performing its administration of industrial zones; quickly completing licensed infrastructure in industrial zones; and actively calling for investors with a focus on quality, performance, technology, and environmental protection factors. It will improve the investment and business environment, create an equal business and investment environment for investors, and proactively propose solutions to remove difficulties for projects so as to accomplish all goals and plans.
At the conference, Mr. Ha Dinh Nha, Director of the Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board, and Mr. Vu Kim Thanh, Deputy Director of the Board, awarded Emulation Flags of the Provincial People’s Committee to five companies and Certificates of Merit of the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee to six companies in the block for their outstanding business achievements in 2022.
