Affirming the position as a national brand
Vinphaco, formerly known as Vinh Phuc Pharmaceutical State Enterprise, was established on September 15, 1959, in Vinh Phuc province. For 45 years, from 1959 to 2004, it operated as a state-owned enterprise before transitioning into a joint-stock company in 2004. Since then, Vinphaco has continued to grow as Vinh Phuc Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
Vinphaco is lauded for its contribution to local development
Vinphaco offers a diverse portfolio of over 300 pharmaceutical products across 25 treatment categories, addressing both common and complex diseases to support effective medical care nationwide. Nearly 100 Vinphaco products are exported to more than 20 countries around the world.
With over 66 years of development, Vinphaco has obtained many achievements in production, business, and innovation, earning prestigious awards from the Party and State. These include the Third-Class Labor Order (1976), Second-Class Labor Order (1982), and First-Class Labor Order (2004). The company was honored as a Labor Hero in the Renovation Period (2009) and received the Third-Class Independence Order (2014). In 2024, Vinphaco was awarded the Government Emulation Flag for its outstanding achievements. It has twice received the Vietnam Value Award, been recognized as the "Star of Vietnamese Medicine" by the Ministry of Health, and earned many Emulation Flags from the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc province. Vinphaco has been consistently honored with the Gold Star Award and the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods title. These honors reaffirm Vinphaco's quality products, solidifying its position as Vietnam’s leading manufacturer of high-quality pharmaceuticals.
Pioneering science, technology, and digital transformation
Vinphaco positions science, technology, and innovation as core pillars of its development strategy. Upholding its legacy as Vietnam’s leading manufacturer of injectable drugs, the company continues to drive advancements in pharmaceutical production. In 2024, Vinphaco made heavy investments, including a new production line for freeze-dried powder injection drugs and a state-of-the-art BFS (Blow-Fill-Seal) technology line for plastic-packaged injections, aerosols, and eye drops. The company has also upgraded its production facilities, yard systems, and GMP-certified manufacturing plants.
Vinphaco has twice been honored with the Vietnam Value Award
To enhance product quality and market competitiveness, Vinphaco prioritizes research and development (R&D) as a key strategic focus. The company boasts a dedicated team of over 40 R&D experts, including PhDs, Masters, and highly specialized pharmacists, who operate in two laboratories equipped with cutting-edge technology. Vinphaco has invested heavily in modern research centers and collaborates with prestigious universities and research institutes to advance pharmaceutical production technologies. Each year, the company successfully develops, approves, and launches over 50 new pharmaceutical products, vividly demonstrating the company's investment and pioneering efforts in research and development.
Vinphaco has also adopted comprehensive digital transformation, aiming to become a Pharmaceutical 4.0 enterprise. It has successfully implemented SAP S/4HANA, a leading German enterprise management software. Phase 1, officially launched on November 4, 2024, integrates core business functions, including financial accounting, procurement and warehouse management, production, quality control, and sales management. Vinphaco has also introduced electronic document management and approval systems (Base Request, Base Sign), enabling digitalization of internal processes for enhanced efficiency, speed, and transparency.
Accompanying Vinh Phuc to achieve 2025 goals
In 2025, Vinphaco aims to achieve a production and business marking a 23% increase. To sustain this momentum, the company will continue to build on its achievements, drive continuous innovation, and enhance product and service quality. Vinphaco is also accelerating its digital transformation, with plans to fully implement SAP software for production machinery, equipment management, detailed warehouse tracking, and human resource management. With these advancements, the company is striving to become a recognized science and technology enterprise by the end of 2025.
