Nearly 260 memorandum of understanding (MoUs) were signed at the four-day Techmart 2006 trade fair in Hanoi, which closed on September 25 in Hanoi.
Three contracts of technology transfer, totally valued at $1 million, were inked on the opening day.
The Application Institute and the Ministry of Defense’s Factory Z181 holds the biggest contract worth VND30 billion ($1.85 million), according to the organizer.
Ha Long Informatics & Construction JSC also reached a VND7-billion deal to supply 600 PCs and 100 laptops to Vietnam International Bank (VIBank).
The fair, which was jointly held by the National Committee for Science, Technology and Environment, the Ministry of Posts and Telecom and Hanoi People's Committee, attracted more than 120,000 visitors.
About 200 businesses from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Haiphong City and Dong Nai province involving in IT, electronics, telecommunications and automation industries showcased their products at the fair.
The first Techmart was organized in Hanoi in 2003.
