Vietnam E-commerce Association to Be Set up

The Ministry of Trade issued a decision dated March 1 to set up the Vietnam E-commerce Association (VECOM).
 
VECOM is a non-government organisation operated on a voluntary, non-profit basis, with the aim of gathering and associating members to develop e-commerce in Vietnam. VECOM will operate nationwide under the laws of Vietnam. The charter of the association has been constructed.
 
The board for the establishment of VECOM is collecting ideas for the role and operation of VECOM. Applications for membership from both enterprises and individuals should be submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs in April 2007.
