Authorities in northern Quang Ninh province have licensed a 100 per cent U.K.-invested company to build a wolfram starch production plant in the locality.
The Ha Long Vietnam Wolfram Industry Co. Ltd., wholly invested by the U.K.’s APT Overseas Co. Ltd., will pour US$20 million in the project.
The plant, set to have an annual capacity of 4,000 tons of wolfram starch, will be built on an area of 60,000 square meters in Mong Cai Township.
Huang Minh Xing, the company’s general director, said that the project is scheduled to start in the third quarter this year and go on stream early 2010.
The plant will have a lifespan of 30 years, he added. (Investment)
