Vietnam’s northern province of Lang Son has withdrawn investment licenses granted to six FDI projects invested by six joint ventures so far this month, the Labor newspaper said on October 28.
The six joint ventures are Kim Nguyen joint venture company, Viet Ha infrastructure development joint venture firm, Trung Nam joint venture company, and Thanh Tung overseas investment company. These companies received investment certificates between 2002 and 2004, however, none of them started the projects, the paper said.
The provincial authorities also revoked investment certificate from joint venture companies of Hoang Thai and Star Compact for ineffective operations.
Currently, the province has 26 valid FDI projects with total registered capital of US$122 million. (Labor)
