Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang has told an investment conference held in Istanbul that Vietnam and Turkey target to achieve bilateral trade of US$1 billion by 2010, the Voice of Vietnam said.
The conference was held within the fourth session of the Vietnam-Turkey inter-government committee.
However, Hoang said the current bilateral trade has far much met the potentials for bilateral cooperation, proposing businesses of the two countries boost cooperation, factor to help expand bilateral trade.
Vietnamese firms had chances to discuss trade, investment cooperation with Turkish counterparts.
Last year, bilateral trade between Vietnam and Turkey reached US$250 million. (VoV)
