Vietnam PM OKs US$58M Project to Cope with Natural Disasters by 2020

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just approved a VND988.7 billion (US$58 million) project to deal with natural disasters from now through 2020.
 
Of that fund, 55 per cent will come from the state budget and 40 per cent from grants by international organizations and governments.
 
The project, which will be implemented in 6,000 disasters-affected villages and communes nationwide, aims to raise awareness of local people and capability of authorities in preventing the disasters. (Saigon Liberation)
