VSIP to Develop US$1B Reality Project in Haiphong

The Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) will start construction on a US$1-billion realty project in the northern seaport city of Haiphong this December.
 
The complex will cover an area of 1,600 hectares in Thuy Nguyen district, will include a 500-hectare industrial zone and a 1,100-hectare urban area.
 
The project will be divided into two phases with the first phase being the construction of a 611-hectare industrial zone, housing and trade facilities.
 
VSIP is a joint venture between Becamex IDC Corporation, a state-owned Vietnamese firm in the southern province of Binh Duong, and Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries.
 
The firm is also developing VSIP Bac Ninh Integrated Township & Industrial Park in the northern province of Bac Ninh modeled after the successful VSIP I and VSIP II in Binh Duong.
 
With projects covering a total area of 2,545 hectares in the south and 2,300 hectares in the north, VSIP is listed among Vietnam’s largest realty developers. (Vietnam Economic Times)
