Vinh Phuc Province: Destination for Investors

Vinh Phuc is a province in the Northern Delta region, in three planned areas: the Northern key economic region, Red River Delta region and capital region. Vinh Phuc’s total natural land area is 1,237.77sq.km with nine administrative units: one city, one county town, and seven districts. Its population is 1.020 million people.
Vinh Phuc is situated in geographical position with many important intersections including roads, railways, airlines and waterways spreading all around thecountry. It is advantageous that Vinh Phuc lies in the axis ofVietnam economic development and has becomeacomponentofindustrial developmentbelt ofthe Northern provinces.  VinhPhucis adjacenttothe Ha Noi capital, adjacent toNoi Bai InternationalAirport, being thestarting point of National Highway18leading toCai Landeep water port(Quang Ninh), the Con Minh-HaNoi-HaiPhong economic corridor, National Highway2 Viet Tri -HaGiang-China, Corridor Road 18andIV belt Ha Noi city. In addition, there isHanoi-LaoCaiprovincerailwaysystemand National Highway2 along the province. VinhPhuchasfourmain rivers namedRed River, Lo River, Pho Day River andCa Lo River.
VinhPhuchasthreedistinctiveecological zones: delta, midland and mountainous areas, whichis veryconvenientforthe development of agriculture-forestry, fisheries, industry and tourism-service. OneoftheadvantagesofVinhPhucprovince in comparison with the other provinces surroundingHa Noiis that Vinh Phuc has a relatively big area of hill landofthe midlandshavinggoodphysical properties to be convenientforconstructionandindustrial development.
Located in the planned areas of key national tourism, Vinh Phuc has Tam Dao resort with nearly 1,000 m altitude compared with water level, lies in the primitive forests of around 1,500ha. The lakes have an area of several hundred hectares of water surface, such as Dai Lai, Lang Ha and Dam Vac. Many historical and cultural relics ranked nationally, such as Tay Thien and Binh Son Tower which are admired by the domestic and foreign tourists. Vinh Phuc has 03 golf courses that have been put into operation: Tam Dao golf course, Nam Dam Vac golf course and Dai Lai golf course.
 
Thanks to favorable conditions for socioeconomic development as well as the large state budget capacity, for the last 10 years Vinh Phuc has been an attractive investment area and had high levels of social investment. Since 1997 (the re-establishment of Vinh Phuc province), Vinh Phuc province’s economy has been developing rapidly. The growth rate of GDP per period of 1998 - 2000 is very high, reaching 18.12%. GDP growth rate in the period of 2001-2005 reached 15.02%; in the period of 2006-2010 was 15.4% per year. Economic structure shifted towards increasing the proportion of industry - construction and services, reducing the proportion of agriculture, fishery and forestry. In 2008 proportion of industry - construction and services increased by 17.77%, of which industry - construction increased by 22.02%, services increased by 18.99%; agro-forestry and fishery increased by 6.89%.

Currently, there are anumber oflargeeconomic groupsof some countrieswere interested ininvestment decisionsin VinhPhuc like: Group: Piaggio Group(Italy), Vinacapital Group, Foxconn Group, Compal Group, FullpowerGroup (Taiwan), G.OMax Group, Kumho Group, Lotte Group(SouthKorea), YCH Group(Singapore) and CPKGroup.
