Hanoi Beer Company (Habeco) and Germany's Krones Group-Haskoning Vietnam-Lilama Hanoi November 19 singed Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) agreement to increase capacity of Habeco's brewery in northern Vinh Phuc province to 200 million liters per year in the second phase.
Nguyen Van Viet, Habeco's general director said the second phase plays a key role in the company's development.
Habeco planned to pour VND681 billion in the 2nd phase to expand facilities which had been provided by Krones-Haskoning-Lilama in the 1st phase. The phase is scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of 2009.
Habeco kicked off construction of the 1st phase July 20 last year and expected it will be completed in the first quarter of 2008.
With investment of VND1,518 billion, the 1st phase will enable the brewery to produce 100 million liters and notch up VND1,400 billion revenues a year.
Krones Group is also the main contractor of Saigon Beer Company (Sabeco)'s brewery project in Cu Chi district, HCM city. (Vietnam & World Economy)
