As many as 90 minerals mines and ore areas with small and medium reserves have been discovered in northern Vinh Phuc province, state media said.
Of the total, 13 coal mines have been found in the communes of Tan Lap, Dong Thinh, Dong Ich, Tien Lu, Van Quan (Lap Thach) and Dao Tu (Tam Duong); and 16 mines of iron, gold, zinc, lead, copper and tin uncovered mainly in the communes of Ngoc Thanh (Me Linh), Dinh Trung, Khai Quang (Vinh Yen), Tam Dao Town and Huong Son (Binh Xuyen).
Eighteen mines including Kao Lin, Feldspat, Puzolan, Mica, Keramizit and Barit have been detected in the communes of Quat Luu (Binh Xuyen), Duy Phien, Hoang Dan, Thanh Van (Tam Duong) and Dinh Trung (Vinh Yen); two hot water and mineral water mines have been found in Vinh Ninh commune (Vinh Tuong) and Phuong Khoan commune (Lap Thach); and another 41 minerals mines have been discovered in the communes: Phuong Khoan, Lap Thach, Hop Chau and Tam Dao.
Most of the minerals mines in Vinh Phuc have not yet been put on the province’s map, which has caused many difficulties in carrying out management work.
