HCM City Aims GDP Growth at 9.5 - 10 Pct in 2013

Ho Chi Minh City, the largest economic centre in Vietnam, anticipated gross domestic product (GDP) growth at 9.5 - 10 per cent to VND686.7 trillion in 2013 despite forecasts about harder economic situation next year. GDP per capita is expected at US$4,000.
 
In 2013, the city hopes to create 120,000 jobs, reduce poverty, ensure social security and protect the environment.
