Viettel Hoa Binh Making Effort to Deploy Nation-wide Network

The Viettel branch in Hoa Binh was established and put into operation in 2004 under the network development strategy of Viettel Group, contributing to improving the quality of operation and business performance and confirming the position of the whole system. In nearly 10 years of network and business deployment in the province, Viettel branch in Hoa Binh has proven itself as one of the top providers of telecommunication services in the province.
Improving network quality and service
Since first coming into operation, despite difficulties in geography, human resources and infrastructure, Viettel Hoa Binh managed to ensure business efficiency and safety. It also contributed to the policy of the State on macro-economic stability. Under these circumstances, the brand’s Board of Directors launched several measures including completing facilities, stabilizing the organization, training and recruiting staff, promoting the brand, conducting surveys on network development and increasing market share. In addition, the branch always follows the province's economic development program and brought services to remote areas in the province. Since going into operation, Viettel branch in Hoa Binh has always followed the strategy of the Group. In the near future Viettel Hoa Binh will launch new packages for ethnic minority clients.
 
Thanks to synchronized planning in business strategy, Viettel branch in Hoa Binh quickly achieved some positive results. Infrastructure and network coverage is now available in most communes in the province. There are 210 communes with 274 2G Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), and 265 3G BTS. From the 2G technology-based mobile service, Viettel Hoa Binh has developed products and services on 3G technology platforms. Annual revenues are always higher than the previous year. Particularly in 2012, the branch’s revenue reached VND 400 billion. Talking to us about these accomplishments, Mr Dam Khanh, Director of Viettel Hoa Binh, said: "In the development process, we have been receiving enthusiastic support from local government, local management agencies and our customers in all areas from rural to urban. That is one of the greatest factors that contributes to the success of Viettel Hoa Binh today."

Business always associated with social responsibility
Viettel Hoa Binh appreciates not only business development efforts but also social responsibility and sees this as a significant activity of the company for the community. Mr Khanh said that: "The foundation for a enterprise to develop is the society; once society develops, enterprises will develop too.” This is the reason why Viettel Hoa Binh implemented re-investment for society through aligning business activities with social and humanitarian activities. Typical was the program to bring internet into schools. So far, after 4 years of implementation associated closely with the Hoa Binh Department of Education and Training, Viettel Hoa Binh has brought Internet to 100 percent of schools across the province. The humanitarian heart surgery program "Hearts for Kids" raised by Viettel since 2008 has rescued more than 1,200 children. Also 10 local children were given heart operations. In parallel with these activities, annually, the branch also organizes charity programs such as supporting children in difficult circumstances at Social Protection Centres, supporting victims of Agent Orange in the province, building boarding houses in Da Bac district, and building television stations in Hang Kia and Pa Co commune in Mai Chau.

He also shared that the telecommunication market shows signs of saturation, thus Viettel Hoa Binh has to build a roadmap of specific development, focus on improving network quality, quality services, and especially client care, in order to maintain its market share. In addition, the branch will continue to standardize staff, search and offer new products to meet the increasing demands of society.
