The Binh Duong Customs Department has cooperated with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM) and the Korean Investment Enterprises Association in Binh Duong province to hold the conference of “Dialogues with Korean Enterprises Investing in Binh Duong in 2013”.
Addressing the opening session, Director Nguyen Phuoc Viet Dung of the Binh Duong Customs Department affirmed that production activities, trading and investment of Korean companies are making important contributions to the economic development of Vietnam in general, and of Binh Duong in particular. The Binh Duong Customs Department will always accompany enterprises with the motto "To listen and accompany businesses."
VCCI-HCM and the Binh Duong Customs Department satisfactorily answered 20 questions and problems in such areas as customs procedures, issuance procedures for C/O, tax incentives, adjustment of the level of processed products, sample import tax, spare parts of machinery of fixed assets, and scope of changes on a product.
Mr Byun Dong Ook from the Korean Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City emphasized: “Tax and customs procedures are directly related to the operation of enterprises. When investing in Vietnam, Korean enterprises will face many obstacles; thus they should actively cooperate with the Binh Duong Customs Department to address those obstacles." He also proposed the leaders of the Binh Duong Customs Department organise many more similar dialogues to exchange information periodically. At the same time he proposed that Korean firms strictly observe Vietnam's tax law.
