Located in between the old and new quarters of Hanoi, Lotte Center Hanoi will offer some of the most luxurious and advanced serviced residences, office space, a 5-star hotel and shopping mall in Hanoi, with a total invested capital of over US$400 million.
It is also the first time in its 66-year history since establishment, the Lotte Group concurrently unveils all four upscale services the complex is to offer in a same day - the 5-star Lotte Hotel Hanoi, the premier Lotte Department Store Hanoi, the Lotte Mart Hanoi, and top level office space and serviced residences. More importantly, the launch date is set on the occasion of the local National Day of September 2, in time to meet the entertainment and shopping needs of millions of Hanoi residents on the holidays.
Mr Lee Jong Kook, General Director of Lotte Center Hanoi, remarked: “Lotte Group always consider Vietnam as one of the most important overseas market in Southeast Asia. We have entered Vietnam market in 1996 and keep expanding investment nationwide. Especially, the completion of Lotte Center Hanoi will be an important milestone of Lotte investment in Vietnam. For Vietnam – Korea relationship, Lotte Center Hanoi is the symbol of the successful cooperation between two countries.”
To add spices to the eventful holiday and provide a memorable feature for the launch ceremony, the leading K-pop female band SNSD/Girls’ Generation will be there to exchange views with the capital city’s audience.
Lotte Center Hanoi rises from five underground levels to the 65th floor, with a height of 267 meter and gross floor area of 247,078 m2. This is the second tallest building in Vietnam after the Keangnam Landmark Tower. While on the outside, Lotte Center Hanoi has the look of a uniform whole, with a design based on the idea of Vietnam’s traditional ‘ao zdai’, it is actually constituted of two separate towers on the inside. Callison, a famed US firm, is the designer of the tower.
Inside the building, the grand mall Lotte Mart spans the entire B1 basement level. The 1st through to the 6th floors of the building houses the Lotte Department Store Hanoi, run by Lotte Shopping Plaza Vietnam. A center’s unique feature is the luxurious general store with new trend and high-end fashion and consumer product shops showcasing some 250 world’s famous brand names.
The premier office space at the western tower, the 258 serviced residence units and observatory on the top floor will be managed by Lotte Coralis Vietnam.
The Lotte Hotel Hanoi is situated on the 33rd through to the 64th levels of the eastern tower. The 5-star hotel offers 300 rooms and suites and a banquet hall capable of accommodating global conferences and workshops, ready to receive state leaders and both domestic and foreign top level guests during their stay in Hanoi.
The tower also has dedicated entertainment spaces, including a gym, a netted golf course, an outdoor swimming pool and a first Evian Spa in the South East Asia, among others.
The Lotte Center Hanoi’s signature Sky Walk provides a bird eye’s view of Hanoi, including views under ones’ own feet through the transparent glass floor. Occupants and visitors can also take leisurely moments at the ‘Top of Hanoi Sky Garden’ – Vietnam’s tallest open restaurant on the 65th level of the building. This is the first in Asia and only the third in the world (after one in UK and one in US).
Lotte Center Hanoi is the first project in Vietnam with zero loss of lives in construction and also one that adopts many world class advanced building technologies. The base was built using high tensile technology and low temperature, low CO2 emission concrete technology. In the main tower, every 4-6 levels are fitted with a multi-level garden to provide improved microclimate conditions, while the double glazing facades will also help reduce power consumption in the building. The Lotte Hotel Hanoi is rated by industry experts as a green building.
Lotte Center Hanoi will serve as a trademark signature of Lotte Group in Vietnam, a unique architectural landmark that draws tourists to the capital city, and expectedly a new emblem of the economy of Hanoi.
