Southern Dong Nai province licensed 117 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with a total registered capital of nearly US$1.2 billion in the first nine months of 2014, higher than the full-year target, said the Department of Planning and Investment of Dong Nai. Of the sum, 59 new projects registered to invest nearly US$421 million and 58 existing projects registered to add US$770 million.
Dong Nai province thus ranked third in the nation for FDI capital attracted, accounting for 10.5 percent of the country’s total FDI value in the period. While the country saw a 25.5 percent drop in FDI value, Dong Nai province enjoyed a surge of 30 percent.
