VietJet, on 17 October,officially opened the airline’s latest domestic route connecting the capital city of Hanoi with Can Tho, the largest city in the Mekong Delta in southwestern Vietnam.
This is VietJet’s second connection to Can Tho after the airline opened the country’s only direct flight between Danang and Can Tho earlier this year.
On the occasion of the route’s official launch, VietJet also announced that the airline will be giving away 400 health insurance cards to people living in disadvantaged circumstances in Can Tho and Hanoi. Passengers on the maiden flight will also be entered into a prize drawing with some wonderful gifts up for grabs.
The new route will operate with seven round trips per week departing Hanoi on a daily basis at 11am and arriving in Can Tho at 1.10pm. The return flight will take off from Can Tho at 1.45pm every day and land in Hanoi at 3.55pm. The flight duration per section is two hours and 10 minutes.
