An Giang Province Hosts Conference on Tra & Basa Catfish Trademarks

 The Ministry of Fisheries, in coordination with authorities of An Giang province, organised a conference on the production and consumption of tra and basa catfish from December 14-16, according to the Vietnamese Seafood Exporters and Producers' Association (VASEP).

The conference focused on developing a management system to combine tra and basa trademarks to improve their competitiveness, thus helping the fisheries sector achieve the goal of sustainable development.

During the conference, participants also discussed measures to implement management methods in accordance with the quality standard system during the production process to build a national trademark, "Basa Vietnam".

The conference was expected to create a good chance for participants to exchange views and share experiences in building and managing the quality standard system during production of tra and basa catfish.
