Spring Fair 2005 Opens in Hanoi
Spring Fair 2005, the biggest fair held annually in Hanoi by the Ministry of Culture and Information and Hanoi People's Committee, has been taking place from January 28 to February 7, 2005 with tens of thousands of products from all parts of Vietnam and special, traditional cultural and artistic performances.
The fair has attracted more than 500 enterprises that display their products at 800 booths with total area of 15,000 sq. m. According to Mr. Nguyen Van Bao, Director of the Vietnam Fair and Exhibition Centre, the most typical feature of the fair is a 3,000-sq. m area showing ornamental plants, especially beautiful orchids.
On the occasion, a Spring Flower Festival has also been organised at the West Lake Water Park in Hanoi from January 29 to February 7, 2005. The festival gathers the most beautiful ornamental trees from famous landscape gardens in the capital city, including Nhat Tan peach blossoms, apricot blossoms of all kinds, Tu Lien mandarin orange-tree; and many traditional handicraft products.
