ASEAN TELMIN 5, entitled "To promote the development of online services and network application for the implementation of E-ASEAN", is scheduled to open in Hanoi from September 20 to 28. This is the first time Vietnam has hosted the ASEAN TELMIN. Apart from 14 telecommunications and 10 IT ministers from ASEAN member countries and four dialogue countries, including China, the Republic of Korea, Japan and India, the ASEAN TELMIN 5 will also attract representatives from policy-management and policy-making agencies, IT and telecommunication enterprises from the 14 countries involved.

At this event, the IT and telecom world in Vietnam will actively display the strength of solidarity and unity of Vietnam in connecting and integrating into the region and internationally. According to the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Organizing Committee of the ASEAN TELMIN 5, “The IT Week held by the Vietnam Association for Information Processing (VAIP) is a typical example of Vietnam’s IT and telecom world. The IT Week, together with the IT-Telecom Exhibition, IT Week Conference and the IT-Telecom Golden Cup, has contributed to heightening the position of Vietnam’s IT-Telecom industry.”
