Vinh Phuc province-based industrial zones (IZs) have not only attracted impressive investment figures but also witnessed outstanding efforts from tenants in business and investment activities. The province put into operation eight additional FDI projects in the first six months of 2023.

Local IZs had 399 operational projects (329 FDI projects and 70 DDI projects), accounting for 87% of total investment projects. Of the 61 projects that have not yet been brought into official production, 15 are under construction, accounting for 3% of total projects; 39 are carrying out necessary procedures for startup, accounting for 8.5%; three are conducting land compensation and site clearance, accounting for 0.7%; and four are delaying progress and completing procedures for operational termination, accounting for 0.8%.
In addition, Vinh Phuc IZs have witnessed a sharp rise in disbursed investment value. In the first six months of 2023, the realized capital of FDI projects was US$216.1 million, as much as a year earlier and 59% of the full-year plan, bringing total disbursed FDI value to US$3.65 billion as of end-June 2023, accounting for 59% of the total registered FDI fund. The realized value of DDI projects was VND769.15 billion in the first half of 2023, down 6% year on year and equal to 40% of this year’s target, totaling VND12,893.06 billion as of the end of June 2023, making up for 41% of total registered investment fund.
The Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board played a significant role in achieving these results by closely monitoring all activities of tenants in industrial zones and removing all difficulties and obstacles within its jurisdiction.
In the last six months of 2023, tenants in industrial parks are expected to speed up implementation and bring ten more projects into production (five FDI projects and five DDI projects) with US$120 million (FDI projects) and VND650-700 billion (DDI projects).
