Tam Duong district has prioritized the development of comprehensive infrastructure projects while strengthening regional cooperation and connectivity with other localities in the province. The district has advocated building and developing industrial zones and improving the business environment to attract domestic and foreign firms to boost business investment.
Perspective of SHI-IP Tam Duong Industrial Park
Lying at the center of Vinh Phuc province, Tam Duong is on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway, very convenient for trade and industrial development. The district planned to have four industrial parks with a total land area of 552 ha, including Tam Duong I - Area 2 (163 ha), Tam Duong I - Area 3 (176 ha), Tam Duong II - Area A (135 ha) and Tam Duong II - Area B2 (78 ha). All these industrial parks will be built in the quickest way to ensure progress and investment efficiency.
In addition to developing industrial park infrastructure, Tam Duong district has planned to build the infrastructure system for industrial complexes to promote the development of industry, cottage industry and craft villages in rural areas. The district has two industrial complexes: Hop Thinh (47 ha) and Hoang Lau (50 ha), established and invested nearly VND1,000 billion for infrastructure construction and operation. The investors are preparing procedures to conduct land compensation and site clearance. Moreover, Duy Phien Industrial Complex (76 ha) and Huong Dao Industrial Complex (46 ha) were approved for planning by provincial and central authorities. Tam Duong district is proposing three industrial complexes, namely Van Hoi, Hoang Dan 1 and Hoang Dan 2, with a total area of over 400 ha.
To connect industrial parks with industrial complexes and the district with others in Vinh Phuc and other provinces, Tam Duong district focuses on investing in expanding and developing the traffic system like the belt road of Tam Duong I Industrial Park, Ring Road 2, Ring Road 3, a road connecting Tam Duong I Industrial Park with Tam Duong II Industrial Park and Hop Chau-Dong Tinh Road. The district's traffic system will be invested for expansion, including two connection points in Tam Duong on Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway, National Highway 2, National Highway 2B, National Highway 2C, Provincial Road 309, Provincial Road 310, Provincial Road 310B, Provincial Road 310D, ring roads of industrial parks and inter-commune roads. Water supply, drainage, waste treatment and renewable energy development systems will be also invested to ensure a sustainable environment.
Besides, Tam Duong district actively supports and facilitates businesses to access land sources and policies; creates an enabling investment and business environment, resolutely accelerates administrative procedure reforms, and improves public ethics, especially of public employees who directly work with investors and businesses.
To date, the district has hundreds of small-scale industrial and handicraft manufacturers and traditional craft villages. Hop Thinh Social-Economic Complex has accommodated over 30 companies. Tam Duong 2 Industrial Park has attracted VITTO ceramic tile factory (a daily capacity of 50,000 square meters or annual output of nearly 20 million square meters, estimated revenue of VND1,500 billion). Other industrial producers include tunnel kiln brick factory (in Hoang Lau commune) that makes 3.7 million fired bricks a year, Vinh Yen Leather Footwear Joint Stock Company Hoang Lau Branch that turns out 600,000 leather footwear products for export a year, and Xuan Mai Joint Stock Company (Dao Tu commune) that produces precast concrete components. More than VND1,570 billion is being invested in building 162.3-ha Tam Duong I Industrial Park - Area 2 (SHI IP) in Huong Dao and Dao Tu communes and Hop Hoa town. Tam Duong district is also building two industrial complexes: Hoang Lau (50 ha) and Hop Thinh (46.9 ha).
Promoting its achievements, Tam Duong district will continue to launch many consistent solutions to attract investment fund for industrial development and strive to achieve industrial goals stated in the resolution of the 30th District Party Congress (2020-2025 term): "Developing Tam Duong comprehensively and sustainably and becoming an industrial district by 2030".
