Dong Nai Draws Big New Investment Projects

The Dong Nai Province’s Department of Planning and Investment announced that several projects with registered investment capital of up to US$1 billion are likely to arrive in the province.

Notably, Gannon Group of the US is waiting approval for a US$625-million 750-MW power plant and Sun Steel Group has applied for the construction of an ingot factory, costing US$500 million in the first phase and US$1 billion in the second phase, in Ong Keo Industrial Zone. Besides, the province has received applications for construction of a US$300-million residential zone project in Nhon Trach District and US$30-million residential zone in Bien Hoa City.

Ms. Bo Ngoc Thu, Director of Dong Nai Department of Planning and Investment, said the province has several proposals related to legal investment matters, like preferential import-export tax, preferential investment locations, prioritised investment fields, corporate income tax and conditioned investment projects.
