The Van Loi Steel Joint Stock Co. April 15 kicked off a project to build a blast-furnace cast iron refinery in northern port Haiphong city’s An Duong district.
The planned facility, set to have annual capacity of 500,000 tons a year, will cost VND700 billion (US$43.75 million).
Of the total investment, 30 per cent comes from Van Loi company, and the remaining 70 per cent from commercial banks.
The project, on an area of 20 hectares of land, will be carried out in 12 months.
The entire production line for the factory will be imported from China. (Vietnam Economic Times)
