A Singaporean business delegation has come to southern Binh Duong province to study the locality’s urban development and look for opportunities in this sector.

The mission, lead by Mr Chong Lit Cheong, CEO of International Enterprise Singapore, showed their interest in developing urban centers and building An Tay high-tech zone and an agro-forestry product processing complex in Binh Duong.

Chong said Singapore will open a training course in the provinces of Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh Clity to transfer urban planning technology and experiences for the localities.

Singaporean companies want to invest in an agricultural product processing project of 10,000 hectares in Binh Duong’s Tan Uyen district, he disclosed.

Binh Duong is home to 104 Singaporean-invested projects totaling US$800 million, becoming the second largest foreign investor in the province after Taiwan.

More than 50 Singaporean leading companies from Association of the Chinese’s Businesses in Singapore arrived in Binh Duong to hunt for investment opportunities late August.

Binh Duong is encouraging investment projects in property development, which is attractive to Singaporean businesses. (News)
