The Nam Hai, one of the most decorated resorts in Vietnam, has cemented its standing as the premier seaside property in all of Asia by winning “Best Beach Resort” in TTG’s Travel Awards 2008, state media has said.
The annual awards, conferred by TTG Publishing and presented at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Center, ranks as an annual compendium of the best and brightest hospitality lights across Asia.
“We had the location, the architecture, the design, the service and a notion that we were onto something with singular appeal. The TTG award is a testament to the success of that vision,” said Wayne Duberly, general manager of The Nam Hai.
Between June and August of this year, travel agents, tour operators and destination managers who read TTG Asia, TTGmice, the online TTG Daily News, TTG China and TTG-BTmice China cast their votes for Asia’s “Best Beach Resort.”
Voters based their decisions on the hotel’s services and facilities, its range of value and added benefits, and on the innovation of its sales and marketing team.
The Nam Hai is just minutes from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hoi An and just an hour or two by car to the UNESCO World Heritage sites of My Son, site of the ancient Cham civilization, and Hue, the former Imperial capital.
