International Natural Rubber Conference to Open in November

The Rubber Research Institute of Viet Nam, the International Rubber Research and Development Board (IRRDB), and the Viet Nam General Rubber Corporation will jointly hold a conference on Vietnam Rubber Industry at Saigon Exhibition & Conference Centre in HCM City on November 14. 

 

The conference will focus on the current development of Vietnam’s rubber processing industry and some solutions to future development; natural rubber sources in Vietnam: current situation and development strategy towards 2020; production and cultivation, rubber export & import, advantages & difficulties related to sources of materials, markets, technology, quality, human resources, training, information update, statistics about rubber sector development of some countries and some related websites...

 

Though Vietnam’s rubber processing sector has gained big achievements over the past recent years, cultivation scale is still small with natural rubber consumption of around 90,000 tonnes and 100.000 tonnes of synthetic rubber. The conference aims at discussing ways to deal with problems and support local rubber processors.
