The Vietnamese Ministry of Finance (MoF) has decided to slash import tariffs on liquid crystal display (LCD) screens for televisions with sizes of 29 inches and smaller to 1 percent from the current 3 percent.
Local electronics manufacturing firms import the screens to produce televisions in Vietnam.
This import tax reduction is expected to pave the way for possible cuts in the retail price of these products in the domestic market in the coming months. (The People)
