Cau Gie-Ninh Binh Expressway Be Ready by 2012

Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has urged inferiors to speed up the construction tempo of Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway to put it in service in 2012. 
 
He noted the importance of allocating capital to the first section of the expressway linking with Cham Thi bridge so as it can be open to traffic technically in Q3, 2011.
 
The Ministry of Planning and Investment was assigned to coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to seek investment for the connecting section to National Highway 21.
 
The People’s Committees of Hanoi city, and Ha Nam, Nam Dịnh and Ninh Bình provinces where the expressway will run through were asked to speed up site clearance works. 
 
The project has a total length of 50.3 km with six lanes. It will begin at Km 210 on National Highway 1A in Hanoi and end at Km 265+600 on National Highway 10 in Ninh Bình.
 
Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway will has a speed limit of 100-120 km/h. In the first phase, the project will have four lanes.
 
So far, the project has disbursed 88% of capital investment and finalized 81% of workload.
