Work has begun on a cement plant, with designed capacity of 3,300 tons of clinker per day or 1.2 million tons of cement, in Nho Quan district of northern Ninh Binh province, state media reports.
The Phu Son cement plant has total investment of US$126.7 million from the Vietnam Construction Investment and Export-Import Corporation (Constrexim Holdings), the Song Gianh Construction Material Joint-stock company and the ILG company.
The plant will be equipped with a modern production line imported from Europe.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 2009. (Vietnam & World Economy, VNA)
