Vinashin Business Group has started a project worth VND1.3 trillion (US$81.25 million) to build a cement plant in northern Ha Nam province’s Thanh Liem district.
The factory is set to have a capacity of 2,500 tons of clinker a day.
When operational in 2008, the Vinashin cement plant will roll out porland PCB 40 and PCB 50 cement to serve key construction projects.
The new facility is part of Vinashin’s strategy to become a multi-sector economic group in the period 2006-2010, and is added to the cement industry’s development plan until 2010, a vision to 2020. (VNA)
