Melia Hanoi Maintains Top Services

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has recently acknowledged the Melia Hanoi Hotel as one of the top ten leading hotels in Vietnam for its great achievements in business activities. On this occasion, VIB Forum interviewed Fredrick Arul, the general director of the Melia Hanoi Hotel.

How do you feel that Melia Hanoi is one of the ten hotels presented with the ‘Vietnam Leading Hotel’ title?

We are very proud of such an honourable title presented by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. This is the result of the great efforts made by managers and staff members of Melia in order to satisfy our guests in recent years. We will now strive to receive this title every year.

What are the advantages attributable to the success of Melia Hanoi?

Melia Hanoi is located in the centre of Hanoi with impressive facilities, such as the large and ultra-modern conference halls, which are perfect for seminars and meetings. Our staff members have also been trained with excellent hotel skills to meet the demand of all guests, be they businessmen, tourists or seminar guests.

The award presented by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism will be of great importance for the future development of the hotel. How do you propose to maintain the award in the coming years?

The title is very important for us, as it will help us access greater volumes of guests, especially foreign guests. To maintain this title, we will continue to maintain the best possible services by organising regular training courses to continually improve the skills of our staff, renewing equipment and developing infrastructure facilities.

What do you think about the development of the services and hotel industry in Vietnam and in Hanoi in particular?

The hotel service has great development prospects demonstrated by the increasing room occupancy rate. Hanoi is now considered a new destination for tourists and business activities with many investors opening their representative offices in Hanoi. When the business environment in Hanoi improves, the hotel service will also develop more rapidly to meet the demand of businessmen.
