2004 Guangxi Industrial Exhibition Held in Hanoi
The 2004 Guangxi Industrial Exhibition was held in Hanoi from July 30 to August 2 by the Trade Counsel of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in cooperation with the Vietnam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company (VINEXAD).
The exhibition consisted of two main parts: ‘trade’ and ‘investment.’ The ‘trade’ section mainly exhibited industrial products of Guangxi province, China, in order to introduce them to Vietnamese customers. The new feature of the exhibition was that suppliers and customers were arranged into pairs for negotiations or they were given opportunities to negotiate directly at the exhibition to increase the proportion of successful transactions between suppliers and buyers. The investment section was expressed through projects and investment cooperation in Guangxi province, which helped local enterprises seek partners and promote their investment in Vietnam.
Covering an area of 1,700 square metres, pavilions were categorised and divided up into groups depending on the product. Over 100 enterprises attended the exhibition with more than 2,000 products displayed. The exhibition introduced traditional and new high-tech products of Guangxi province.
Liu Shu Sen, head of the Trade Counsel of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, said that those enterprises which took part in negotiations were strong enterprises wanting to invest in Vietnam. Many have already formed alliances with Vietnamese partners and believe in economic and investment cooperation with Vietnam.
