Dutch Business Delegation to Visit Can Tho City

The Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands accompanied by a group of Dutch companies in Vietnam will pay a visit to Can Tho City from 5- 6 March 2012.

 

The visit aims to build up and maintain the relationships with local authorities in Can Tho City. It is a good chance for Dutch companies to explore potential investment possibilities, as well as business opportunities with local counterparts and partners in the Mekong Delta.

 

The Consul General will lead the delegation with representatives of active Dutch companies in the field of technical consultancy, engineering design, water management, horticulture, animal feed, quality control and education. They include Royal Haskoning, Tebodin, Boskalis, Witteveen+Bos, Howaco, East West Seed, De Heus, Ten Kate, Control Union, EcO2 Vietnam and Nuffic-Neso. The Consul General also conducted a visit to the Chairman of the People’s Committee on 6^th March followed by a meeting with other local departments’ representatives, such as the Department of Planning & Investment, Department of Trade & Industry, Department of Agriculture & Rural Development, Department of Natural Resources & Environment, Department of Construction and Can Tho Industrial Zones Board of Management and Can Tho Exporting & Processing Zone. In the afternoon of the same day, the whole group will attend a networking reception with local companies and contacts to seek possible trade and investment prospects in the region.
