Can Tho Supports Businesses to Enhance Competitiveness

Can Tho City, the largest city in the Mekong Delta, now has more than 10,000 active enterprises with a total registered capital of VND38 trillion (US$1.8 billion). However, many still lack information about WTO, foreign markets, competitors, and other market factors.

 

Therefore, the Can Tho Branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI - Can Tho) and the city's Department of Industry and Trade are coordinating to implement programmes to help local businesses to improve their competitiveness in the international integration process. The two agencies will help businesses implement cost-cutting measures to reduce production costs, accelerate technological renovation and enhance cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City to expand production of locally advantageous commodities like rice and seafood.
