Hai Duong Leaders Meet Japanese Businesses

Mr Nguyen Manh Hien, Chairman of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee, hosted a meeting with Japanese companies in the province to listen to their reports on operations and troubleshooting on October 29, 2014.
 
Mr Hien appreciated the valuable contributions of the Japanese business community to local socioeconomic development. He affirmed that Hai Duong province always sees Japanese investors as an inseparable part of foreign investment in Hai Duong. He also listened to reports on the difficulties and problems of Japanese firms in the province. Mr Hien pledged to make necessary and timely changes to support Japanese companies to do better business in the province and improve the investment environment.
 
Atsusuke Kawada, Chief Representative of JETRO Office in Hanoi, highlighted concerns of Japanese companies in Hai Duong province. He said Japanese firms are particularly interested in the enforcement of the Labour Code, work permit renewal, administrative service quality, tax policy, infrastructure development, guaranteed employment.
 
Chairman Nguyen Manh Hien said Hai Duong always prioritises and pledges to do its best to provide preferential conditions and support for Japanese companies as well as other foreign investors in the province. Besides, Hai Duong organises regular meetings with foreign-invested enterprises to listen to their difficulties, problems and suggestions to have prompt and timely policy adjustments and better support FDI firms to operate more efficiently.
