The annual Vietnam Development Partnership Forum (VDPF) is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on December 5, 2014. The overarching theme of the forum is “Economic institutional reform, enhanced autonomy and competitiveness of Vietnam's economy."
Thematic topics of discussions will include: Socioeconomic development updates and main directions for the future; Institutional reform of market economy: Market mechanism reform to enhance competitiveness; Private sector development: Private development to build a sustainable and self-reliant economy.
VDPF is a high-level policy dialogue for the Government of Vietnam and development partners (DPs) on important policies of mutual interest to promote inclusive economic and social development and improve the living quality of Vietnamese people.
The Vietnam delegation is expected to be led by Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung. VDPF will be co-chaired by Mr Bui Quang Vinh, Minister of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, and Ms Victoria Kwakwa, Country Director of the World Bank for Vietnam.
