The Can Tho City Department of Industry and Trade said the industrial production value reached VND45,575 billion in the first six months of 2015, equal to 44.1 percent year for the full-year plan and up 8.6 percent year on year.
In the six-month period, industrial parks and export processing zones in Can Tho City attracted 10 new projects and allowed six projects to scale up their registered capital by US$25.26 million. Accordingly, industrial parks in the city area housed 224 valid projects with a total registered capital of US$1.945 billion, of which US$866.4 million had been brought into projects. Projects in industrial parks were estimated to fetch revenue of US$756.4 million, up 21 percent year on year.
