Japan’s Honda Metal Industries Group and Vietnam’s Long Van NTV Company on March 6 inaugurated a shaped aluminum bar production plant in southern Binh Duong province’s Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park, Tuoi Tre (Youth) Newspaper reports.
The Hondalex plant has total investment capital of US$14 million, of which the Japanese firm contributes 70 per cent.
The factory has a capacity of 800 tons of aluminum a month. Some 40 per cent of factory products will serve the domestic market, the remainder will be exported to Europe and Japan.
Shigeo Aoki, chairman of Honda Metal Industries Group, said the factory’s shaped aluminum bars are rolled out by modern Japanese technology and used for construction, interior decoration and household industry. (Youth)
