US$804Mln FDI Flows into Ba Ria-Vung Tau So far This Year

The southern province of Ba Ria-Vung has licensed seven projects with registered capital of US$804 million from the beginning of this year.
 
The province is considering granting investment licenses for three FDI projects valued at US$638 million, including a project worth US$500 million in the first stage by wholly Canada-owned Ho Tram Ltd. Co., a US$120 million project by Hong Kong’s Dai Phu Hao Company and an US$18 million project by a Japan firm.
 
At present, seven projects in the areas of tourism and services are under way.
 
Ba Ria-Vung Tau has set a goal to attract at least 26 projects worth US$1.8 billion into industrial parks (IPs) this year, said head of the provincial IPs management board Le Minh Chau.
 
Last year, FDI into IPs hit a record level of US$1.4 billion, up 1.83 times on-year, making the province the top locality for FDI attraction in the year with nearly US$1.7 billion for 19 projects. (The People)
