Sabeco to Start US$43.12Mln Packing Project in Nghe An late June

Saigon Beverage Company (Sabeco) will start its VND690 billion (US$43.12 million) project to build Sebeco-Song Lam packing factory Jun 29 in Northern Vinh IZ, central Nghe An province.
 
Sabeco will pump US$33 million into the factory using modern beer can manufacturing line and US$2.33 million into carton packing manufacturing line with total designed capacity of 40 million sacks a year.
 
The company will inject some US$3.75 million into fundamental construction works. Sabeco is now the leading beer producer in Vietnam with total annual capacity reaching 460 million liters, accounting for 30 per cent of local market share.
 
The company is expected to increase the capacity to nearly 900 million liters a year by late 2008.
 
The company reports annual sales of some VND 6 trillion, mostly from its Saigon Beer brand, including after-tax profit of over VND1 trillion. (Vietnam Economic Times)
