Binh Dinh provincial authorities have recently given nod to Saigon Investment Group to build a wind-to-power plant and a thermo-power plant in local economic zones, state media reported Tuesday.
The group will develop a wind-to-power plant in Nhon Hoi economic zone with a minimal capacity of 100 MW.
It will also construct a 2,400-MW thermal power plant in Cat Khanh industrial park.
However, they were not reached for comment on investment and schedules of the projects.
Vinashin Tech, a unit of Vietnam’s largest shipbuilder Vinashin Business Group (Vinashin) will join hands with Soai Rap Shipping Industrial Co. and Vietnam Phong Dien JSC. to build a 24-MW wind-to-power plant at a total cost of US$42 million in Nhon Hoi economic zone of Binh Dinh province.
