PetroVietnam Inks Cooperative Deal with CMG of China

State-owned oil monopoly PetroVietnam group Sept 9 clinched a memorandum of understanding on strategic partnership with the China Merchants Group Ltd. in Hanoi, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
 
Under the deal, the two sides are committed to sharing investment opportunities in various industries such as seaports and seaport logistics in southern key economic zones, industrial parks, real estate development, financing and stock market.
 
The Chinese partner also pledged to help the PetroVietnam promote its business in China and other parts of the world.
 
Addressing the signing event, PetroVietnam President of Board of Directors Dinh La Thang affirmed establishing this strategic partnership is an important landmark in the development of the two groups. He proposed that the two sides discuss further details of a cooperative project in China during the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung’s coming visit to China.
 
CMG President Fu Yuning said his company would work with PetroVietnam to boost cooperation in all fields of their strengths.
 
Established in 1872, CMG has become one of the leading groups in China, operating mainly in investment, construction of transport infrastructure, sea transport and finance. (VNA, VoV)
