Vietnam Exports Reaps US$2 Bln to China in H1

Vietnam reportedly fetched US$2.04 billion from goods exports to its neighbor of China in the first half of this year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
 
In Jun, the country’s total export value to China reached US$389.18 million, the ministry said, but did not give out comparative figures.
 
Among key export items, rubber topped the list with US$398.16 million, followed by coal with US$388.46 million, crude oil with US$285.43 million, computers, electronics and spare parts with US$121.33 million, woodwork products with US$75.59 million and cashew nut with US$71.66 million.
 
The website did not figure the country’s import spending during the period.
 
Vietnam always incurs trade deficit with China, which reached US$2.81 billion in 2005 and US$3.8 billion in 2006.
 
In 2007, the two-way trade posted at US$15.8 billion, surpassing far from the target of US$15 billion by 2010. (Vinanet)
